As a Designer Maker, there is always a journey and for me that journey will always begin with my material of choice: metal.
From the initial spark of an idea to the final weld I love nothing more than the feel of a pristine sheet of metal and all its possibilities. In this series of objects I have deliberately explored simple geometric forms, and less really is more and the use of mild steel lends itself perfectly to this concept. By exploiting the strengths of the material, rather than overworking the steel, I have simply encouraged the sheet metal in to position.
